My Experience

Traci Richardson, DPT

I am a physical therapist with 20 years of experience. My goal is to help people keep moving throughout their lifetime.

My approach to helping my patients heal involves their whole body, not just a painful body part. I want to help my patients understand how their unique body moves and how they can create lasting change to reduce pain and prevent injury.

I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University and my undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University in Kinesiology. Throughout my career, I have enhanced my knowledge of how the body moves and professional skills by becoming certified by the US McKenzie Institute as a Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment Specialist, FMS Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and by Titleist Performance Institute as a golf fitness and medical professional.

My newest endeavor that I began in January of 2020 was pursuing an Applied Functional Medicine Certification as a health coach. I wanted to be a good resource and guide for my patients as they try to better their overall health. Our body works as an interconnected system and I am interested in understanding the role of our body’s gut function, hormones, and cellular metabolism and how they contribute to our musculoskeletal system to impact pain, injury, neuropathy, arthritis, etc. My goal is to be an important part of my patients healthcare team for creating effective lifestyle change and better health.

“Chronic joint pain from arthritis and several surgeries including hip and knee replacements have required me as a golf professional and teacher to find the best physical therapist possible. Traci is an expert in all facets of wellness. She has helped me stay active in my profession. She has consistently taught me my exercises with patience and precision. My life has changed with alleviating the pain and knowing how to care for my own condition. I owe my wellness to her and thank her. ”
